From resistance to readiness. Together.
I'm Karen Lewis Enright. I've spent more than twenty-five years helping large, complex organisations navigate the transitions that are genuinely hard to get right - restructures, mergers, operating model change, digital transformation, and most recently, the arrival of AI as a workforce reality.
My background is in organisational psychology. That shapes how I work. I'm less focused on frameworks and more interested in what's actually happening inside an organisation: what leaders are saying in private, what employees are worried about, and where the real friction is.
I work directly with clients and alongside other consulting teams - enterprise and boutique - wherever I can add the most value. My clients tend to be global organisations going through something significant, and leaders who want a thinking partner, not a slide factory.
Recently I’ve been spending more time with organisations working through what AI actually means for their people, their ways of working, and the capabilities they’ll need. Not the hype. The practical, human question underneath it. It’s the most interesting transition I’ve ever seen, and it needs the same rigour as any other organisational change.
alterNOTION is a small, deliberate practice. That's by design.

Lead Consultant
We work across sectors, scales and structures. The thread is always the same: something significant is changing and people need to come through it well.
Our work draws on organisational psychology, leadership development, and the kind of operational understanding you only get from years inside complex programmes.
We’ve worked with some of the largest global organisations and alongside smaller, more focused teams.
What connects all of it is a consistent interest in what’s actually happening inside an organisation when things are shifting.
alterNOTION exists because the human side of change is usually where it succeeds or fails.
Not as a linear process or a box to tick, but as something that asks real things of real people. That’s the work we’re drawn to.
